US envoy, UNHCR country representative visit camps

The U.S. ambassador to Nepal, Peter Bodde, and the country representative of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for Nepal,Steven Sanders, visited the Bhutanese refugee camps of Jhapa and Morang, Wednesday.

During the during envoy Bodde interacted with the refugees and took stock of the situation in the camps, according to UNHCR Nepal’s Facebook page.

While in the camps, the delegates are learnt to have inquired about ongoing aid programs in an around the camps.

Meanwhile, refugees’ representatives drew attention of the delegates duo regarding situations of those refugees likely to be left in the camps once the ongoing third country resettlement program phases out.
