Dr. Bhampa Rai, who was hospitalized in Ananda Lok hospital in Siliguri, has undergone intestinal surgery at around 11:38 pm. According to our correspondent, Birendra Magar, he is now able to talk and is in stable condition. He is now kept in high dependency unit (HDU).
According to doctors involved in his surgery, he has to remain in hospital for few more days.
In the latest update sent by Balaram Poudyal through googlegroups, Mrs. Urmila Rai is taken to Birta City hospital for dialysis Thursday morning. She is undergoing dialysis twice a week. Her health condition is deteriorating.
