The District Administration Office (DAO) of Jhapa provided Rs 1500 to each household displaced by fire, Thursday.
Following the site visit by the Chief District Officer (CDO) Geyanath Bhandari and Assistant CDO Yogendra Prasad Dulal, the government decided to release the relief aid to all 17 families affected by the Wednesday’s night infero, informed Beldangi Camp Secretary Dhan Bir Subba.
The Lutheran World Federation also provided some blankets to the fire victims, and the Nepal Red Cross Society of the district also distributed kitchen utensils, according to Subba.
However, construction of the destroyed huts is yet to begin.
