Chak Man Lamjel, 65, a temporary resident of Beldangi-I camp, sector C/1-73 has committed suicide Tuesday evening.
His son Birkha Bahadur found Lamjel hanging in a peepal tree situated some 50 meters away from his temporary hut. Lamjel, who was alive at the first seen, was immediately rushed to camp-based heath center for treatment, but to no avail.
It is reportedly learnt that late Lamjel and his daughter in-law had a dispute prior the former committed suicide. However, it is not yet known if dispute was the major cause for Lamjel to commit suicide.
Police source informed BNS that they have detained Birkha Bahadur for further investigation and that preparations are underway for the postmortem of the dead body.
