The underground-armed outfit, United Revolutionary Front of Bhutan (URFB) has refuted media reports that claimed that its two cadres were arrested from Sundarpur of Morang district on Monday.
“Two Bhutanese refugees, Sonam Dorjey and Khadga Bahadur Dorjey, who are in police custody in Belbari of Morning from their arrest on Monday have no official connection with the URFB,” the organization’s chief of staff said in a press statement issued this Thursday.
According to police, the detainees were arrested with three communication sets, 21 rounds of nylon bullets and two mobile sets from Sundarpur.
They have claimed that they were the cadres of the URFB and have been working for armed revolution inside Bhutan, informed police.
