Update: The other man, who was the driver at the time of accident, identified as Parsu Bista from Chicago, is still in critical condition at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. According to the news release from the APD, the car hit the retention wall of the pond as they were parking while the driver accidentally hit the accelerator.
Dawa Tamang, a resident of 300 block of Westpark Ave died at 10:15 after being airlifted to the Loyola University Medical center. He is survived by wife, one daughter, two sons and an elderly mother. According to Nar Prashad Ghimirey, Dawa’s funeral is slated for Thursday at Dupage Memorial Chapel.
The medical condition of Parsu is not known further, as he is still undergoing treatment. He also came from Beldangi 2 refugee camp in Nepal.
Two men believed to have been learning the driving in quiet area of 300 block of Marshall Avenue in Aurora never would have imagined that their car could plunge into the retention pond.
The 2010 Nissan Maxima car they were driving hit the retention wall of the pond and flipped over into the water at around 8 am today.

Police and Fire department responded to the accident, rescuing the two trapped men from the drowned car. They were sent to hospitals immediately in critical condition.
Meanwhile, Dawa Tamang, 47, is pronounced dead in Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. Nothing is learned about the other injured person.
Dawa Tamang was resettled from Beldangi 2 refugee camp in Nepal.
