An exiled Bhutanese youth accused of acquiring Nepal citizenship from the District Administration Office of Jhapa, by providing false information, was remanded in custody.
The administration office sent one 29-year-old youth, whose named has been withheld on security ground, to judicial custody for further investigation Friday, the state-owned Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) reported from Jhapa on Saturday.
The charge sheet filed against him at the local authority on June 26 says that he obtained citizenship on Baishak 29, 2060 based on the statement of his fake father, a local resident of Prithivinagar-5.
Bhoj Kumari Darji of the same area, also accused of aiding the Bhutanese refugee, was released on Rs 10,000 bail on July 20, added the report.
Former Camp Secretary of Goldhap camp, Chiranjibi Rai, couldn’t verify the names of the accused youth and his father immediately.
What a joke. In this case, it seems that the district authorities did not receive ay bribe. That guy is a scapegoat.
Actually, the same authorities implement the following two strategies to make millions of money –
1)by selling Nepali citizenship to the refugees, and
2) by selling refugee certificates to the Nepali citizens (to help them settle in the US).

What a shameful act the authorities are showing. In actual basis they are one to issue the citizenship demanding thousnad and thousnad money. They pretended that they were unknown during issuing time on the hint that they will be receiving money.
Stop doing that you will curse by the God and make Nepal as the most corrupted countries in the world.

If so Government should punished the Disrict Administrative Officer who are involved in such defaming activities.

Nepal is very bad country in the World.They dont care nepali speaking people. They are happy to give citizenship to dhoti and bihari…but not who speak nepali and love nepal. All of us, including the countries who have resettled the Bhutanese refugees know that a big number of Bhutanese refugees have obtained either Nepalese or Indian citizenship as a desperate measure before the resettlement process begun. These countries accept this fact on the ground that refugees anywhere in the World would take such a step for future security. In the process, the corrupt officials of Nepal have minted money. Now this guy who couldn’t come up with the demanded money to feed the corrupt people of Nepal is made a scape goat. What a joke.
