Sept 08: Kul Bahadur Khadka, brother of late KB Khadka, who is now in Colorado in USA, has urged the support of the UNHCR and other authorities concerned for the management of security to the bereaved family in camp.
Talking to BNS over telephone, Khadka also strongly demanded fast-track and fair probe about the death of his brother. “I fear about the safety of my relatives back in camps,” said Khadka, adding “The UNHCR including concerned authorities should help my remaining family members in camps to find a secured living.”
Recalling his last telephonic talks with late KB three days back, Khadka informed the BNS that his relatives in camps, including the wife of late KB, were finding hard even to respond his telephone calls due to mournful environment prevailing around.
Terming the incident as ‘organised plan,’ Khadka said that he is unknown about the reasons behind the murder. “My brother was a popular icon within the Bhutanese refugee community for his selfless social service,” Khadka added.
“I cannot explain how much I am mourning my brother’s death,” Khadka said, adding that the unexpected incident could be a ‘long term plan.’
Khadka also demanded strong punishment to the culprits.
According to Khadka, the dead body is now in Mangalbare for post-mortem.
