The Bhutan Media Foundation (BMF) from Thimphu has sought for personal greetings and wishes—audio, video or texts, from the public on the occasion of the King’s wedding in October this year.

According to BMF, messages can be in the form of art, poems and loezey, which will be presented in a uniquely published book as a token of the people’s symbolic gift.

It is stated that the greetings sent for the royal couple to BMF will be free of cost. BMF also said if citizens need help to make an audio or visual greeting, help will be provided.

The deadline to send the greetings, however, has been set as August 10. BMF has asked the public to send their greetings at: [email protected] or [email protected]

  1. Hellow! is this a message for Bhutanese inside Bhutan and Bhutanese in diaspora? Can anyone provide suggestions as a wellwisher? If that works, BNS has done a great task otherwise it is futile. Wishes come from pure and healthy mind which incase of exiled Bhutanese is a fallacy. Although developing this concept in mass is a scale factor to judge the present king’s reputation if it were not like GNH. Has anyone observed the sucidal cases of resettled Bhutanese refugees in the usa? The root cause of all mental health illness is the present Bhutan and its elite groups. After all, this wishing program may result a boon to Bhutan King and its present authority. Probably Bhutan government may present audio, video or texts messages which read infavor of his tenure in the international arena. why to be too cruel to take anyone to pieces? I am bit aware of Bhutan government advocacy for the past many years back. My question is why did’t we wish happy birthday of our president who has taken care of us? I personally wish happy birthday to president rather than wishing royal weeding.

  2. The shortest time line given by Bhutan for contribution of wedding wishes is another game to hoodwink international community to show that the palace is open to everyone of its citizens. In reality, by the time a well wisher works out the perfect lines of his or her wishes, the dateline closes. This is too cunning a plan.
Our feelings will only remain in our hearts and not published in the books of wedding wishes!
As cruel as the regime to their citizens, so is the game plan to eyewash the audience.

  3. People will wish you with the pure and sincere heart unless you clean the sin, and unless you calm down the sorrow and pain in your hundreds of thousand citizen(inside and out side the country Bhutan) which had been enforced by your dad(JSW). Other wise the wishes and prayer will only be the fake respect towards you and the royal family, and international community would consider the greeting as it is only from the people in the cabinet and around the throne, as well from the powerless and voiceless citizen who will be force to do so.

I hope you will try to respond and compensate the loss and tragedy of your citizen before you look around for the natural and honorable greeting and wishes.

    Your well wisher!

    Dragon.

  4. Sometime BNS really publishes a very rediculous news to the Bhutanese people. It doesnt make a sense for the people in the exile, who were evicted due to the brutal act of the King and His government. This shows that the media, so called BNS and BMF are highly bribed by Bhuatan government.
It is good to wish to someone thru any medium but it is also unfortunate to blindfold the innocent Bhuatanese in an exile for writing such a piece in the name of Bhutanese people in Diaspora. I think many Bhutanese who suffered in the camps and in Bhutan have nothing to do by sending the wishes to the Present King. It is my humble request to the editor to remove such news from your sites. It discolored the mission to bring the change in Bhutan.

  5. For Bhuwan and Nilik…grow up guys..it is not only you who lived in the camps.I did too..probably you are resettled somewhere already…oh i lived in the camps..terrible regime blah blah…if you don’t like the article just don’t read it..There are people who like to read and appreciate BNS for writing it….suck it up dude

  6. Dear Timai,
Your comments seemed more smarter than others. In your opinion it wise to suggest someone to do what you do? Please provide some evidence and logic before writing something. To know whether to like or dislike something one has to test it. I don’t think anyone can make a true judgement on any abstract or article without minute reading. Any way, logics and reasonings are more important than hypothesis.

  7. Hi guys , try to understand the politics of wishing the king at this great moment. Our attitude determines our altitude. We have nothing to do with present king but with his Father.Still we need to have stoic endurance for some years untill his vicious father die because he is still directing his son in a wrong track. It is sure and certain that people will really enjoy Democracy in Bhutan. Our ‘SITA’ has been abducted since 1990 or even before that by this cruel ‘RAVAN’ but don’t worry, ‘RAM’ is ready to get her back with the help of ‘HANUMAN’

  8. Raj,
All right cheif you want some logic right….here it goes..People like Sandesh can be very well be described as “Armchair Quarterbacks”.They got nothing to do other than sit infront of a computer and procastinate…foul cry..victim mentality..to be honest with you when I participated in that rally in bhutan demanding Human Rights and Democracy I thought that someone will come with an object and I can take that home….Very honest..I thought may be it looks like an apple….Now you know where I come from….I would like to share this saying eventhough it is irrelevant here..”I wept because I had no Shoes until I saw a man who had no feet”….get over it and start contributing to the country who accepted you….no entitlement please…

  9. Timai, go on advocating the cruel regime (JSW and his followers) until you get paid from this regime. I know that you are totally aware and conscious about the brutal ruling of JSW and his fellows, but how could you stop advocating them knowing that this is the only easy way to make money.

Do not teach people to start contributing to the resettled country, they already know the principle and have been doing their best in action, not like you verbal announcer. Have not these people contribute in our country by doing (Jharlangi) and making the souther part fertile and suitable to live for us? But why are kicked out at the end?

Keep on advocating these shameless regime, to make your living, and to feel proud of your self.

  10. Druk,
Listen kid..who got paid by the regime?you are too young to discuss about politics…either in age or otherwise…who mentioned about jharlangi? get a lollypop and have fun you are too young to discuss..just chill out and take it easy..if ego permits stay out of it..

  11. Timai,

    Listen Grandpa,

I know you will be upset and fired when someone introduce your stupidness.Though I am not a child as you consider, but I would not criticize some one because of his/her age, gender, or race. Weak up Grandpa, the world is totally different. If you are losing your vision, go to the ophthalmologist. If you are having hearing problems, go to Otolaryngology. If you are having depression and stress go to the mental health counselor. Hope, then you will feel better and fresh to continue arguing in the favor of cruel and Autocratic regime.

Hope your stress will not give you a problems!

    Thanks!

  12. Druk,
you already knew what you are not suppossed to know…man you are clever..you did managed to diagonosed some of my problems and I appreciate that…look at tortola’s message…do you still have issue with that..”arguing in favour of autocratic regime”??what you talking about…let the guy get married..what is your problem…By the way I am not upset and not fired up either…but rather happy to find out how you react..m having fun dude….chill out

  13. I would like to request BNS to post some recent scientific articles and new discoveries in the field of science technology and mathematics if possible. Hope this may help us to motivate many of our up coming generation in the field of education. Hopefully, we have many seniors who are Masters in Science and Mathematics. Please let them help our community by providing some clues in these hard core subjects. I am writing this because i have felt their importance myself and many of my high school friends too.Could BNS help to collect comments and ideas from school studnets in separate comment bloge? If that sounds well, lets think once again.
