Residents of camp found Tek Bahadur Basnet, 14, of sector D-1, hut number 34 hanging in branch of a tree near by the camp, but in a suspicious condition.

The security has detained a local, who was immediately not identified, who owns a grocery shop in the local market where late Basnet was doing a part-time job.

The exiled Bhutanese have suspected that the boy was killed as spots of blood were noticed in various parts of the body including his legs.

Latest reports coming in from our reporters say Nepal Police and APF are firing dozens of tear gas shells and rounds of blank fires to bring the situation under control.

Details are awaited.

  1. Its the saddest part of Nepali Culture residing in the vicinity of refugee camps in Nepal. Killing, suicide, murder, theft, rape, etc.has been the fashion and culture of the abandoned lives where they were are compelled to struggle and remain due more pressure and negative attitudes of certain local and camps’residents. Its the most horrible to hear the case of suicide in obviously and this case has been clearly done in proper plan and allegations. The culprit has to be brought in the court of justice and every efforts has to be made to justify it in proper way. Let the soul rest in peace in heaven and may God give courage to the bereaved families in the camp.

    Thanks,

  2. So sad to know about the so called suicide of Tek Bdr Basnet. I do not think that young boy of age 14 commits suicide. The blood spots seen on his body prove that some one must have killed him. Most of the people in the local community have iron heart. So, some one’s role is there to kill and hang him. If some one from the refugee camp had beaten a local boy,APF would have already caught number of Bhutanese people but now what are they doing?????????????? Bhutanese people never get justice in Nepal because we are not so rich enough to buy justice with money. However, our people never realize that.

A thorough investigation must be done in order to find the criminal.

I pray for the departed soul and express heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family, relatives and friends.

  3. it is unfornate to hear the death of Tek Bahadur Basnet. I dont think police will come with reality for the cause of death. It is for the name shake they will performed the legal procedure.

Even the national newspaper of Nepal would not highlight the such kind of news.
they will try to hide the information and doesnot reveal the reality.
Forget about such dirty enivironment. What are those national organisation which are established in America doing at this hour? Simply they are boasting themselves for the cause of nothing.Where is YOB ? OBA? OBCA?.

Not a single sentence written on behalf of organissation in such issue.
