The Bhutan United Democratic Party (BUDP), which was never heard before, has claimed that its cadres ambushed a squad of Bhutan police on February 18 at Patabari of Sarpang district.
Issuing a press statement on Friday afternoon, the BUDP said it failed to disseminate the information in time due to “technical problem”.
“In the ambush three policemen were seriously injured and were immediately evacuated to Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan for treatment and the rest who sustained minor injuries were treated in Galephu Hospital,” the statement said adding,” The BUDP takes full responsibility of the incidence.”
The party also said unlike other organizations like Bhutan United Democratic Front, United Revolutionary Front of Bhutan, Communist Party of Bhutan – MLM and Bhutan Tiger Force among others that were grown only in the camps and have been harassing own people, the BUDP was formed with the objective of protecting these people and maintain peace and tranquility in the camps.
“Our fight is with our enemy and the Government of Bhutan The fight will continue till we achieve our goal of repatriation with dignity and honour with full guarantee of restoration of our movable and immovable properties and democracy and human rights.”
The statement further said, “We have been forced to resort to arm rebellion after having all the peaceful means failed in last 20 years.”
The party said it also solicits support and solidarity from all its supporters and well-wishers.

Good try BUDP.It is very hard to know the names of same underground party they changed the name and do their work.Any way your try is good wether you will bring adverse change inside tyrannyland or not that should be watch from outside .I do hope you people will hold the power of nation one day.Remember that only one ambuse will do nothing for bhutan.you should blast thousands of abus inside bhutan then only it is say BUDP………………………
Who is the chief of this organization? Is it a necessity or the demand of the time.It would be nice to be organized for the good of the country.
If this is the effort of the newly formed party,formed to protect the rights of the people in bhutan,I salute you for your try.
Other parties as you know are formed in exile to haress people,some were formed simply to make a office room ,connect fax and phone used these donated/grants for the personal purpose only.
Again there are some political parties who claim to be “DEMOCRATIC” in theory only.A few members in these parties wants the credit from their father/father inlaw because he was influential in the party,gave some time for the party work and bla bla……..
Now after his/her legacy these immediate realtives wants a big share of the credits which the leadeer had, simply doing nothing.

It is very hard to justify whether it is humane or inhumane to take the revenge but the power plays and with bigger might the things will turn to their favor.
In our context, ‘voice and change’ weigh more in regards to ‘arm and takeover’. Take the chance either by supportive head counts or time series factor the former has the meaning than the later. Yours’ earlier attack on the forest personals was quite impressive, however your man who masterminded the attack was caught within 3 weeks. I really appreciate the fact that the refugees could successfully formed different parties which you all mentionned that they are to harass people, use funds for their own purpose and also to kidnap people from garganda tea garden. SO CONGRATULATIONS! it is quite clear that those unethically formed parties are not in peace with each other. one party is blamming the other and the other responds saying that thier party is for the people’s protection. YES, all your parties are for the people’s protection, protecting thenm from leading morally healthy life, protecting them from being resettled and even protecting them from their human right.
