Aimed at bringing more voters in confidence from the Southern Bhutan for 2013 general elections, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has elected a Lhotshampa as its Secretary General.

According to a statement circulated by the Party, 50-years-old Yogesh Tamang, has been elected for the post. Tamang assumed his office from Friday.
Tamang, who was a freelance consultant in a private firm, said he wanted to join the politics as he liked PDP’s ideologies and principles. He is from Tshirang district.
The party also said it will hold its convention to elect President, Vice President and other executives on May 19.

Hope, he would not be corrupted as like many of our PDP members. Let us seen how would he prevail the truth about the situation of our country.
Hope, PDP would make their party more diverse and more heterogeneous.
Finally, let us pray PDP would run more independently than being controlled by Wangchucks in Thimphu.
No matter what happens all Lhotshampas should be united and vote for PDP. No body should give even a single vote to party led by Jigme Thinley who is a well known racist and anti-Lhotshampa.
Dear Yogesh Tamang,
I just want to congratulate you for your election as General Secretary of PDP.
And I hope your party follows the ideology and policies that are truly democratic and not chained to Samtelling Dwellers.God Bless you for your success and good work to nation.
Thank you.
Clean your teeth first!
drukpa, first ask your Jigme Wangchuck to clean his sin full spirit, then only ask other to improve physical appearance.
Because Sin Full Spirit is much dangerous than physical appearance. We sharshop support Mr. Tamang.
Peace!
becareful lotshampas, if you dont abide by BHUTANESE rule you will be driven out to our country…
you should never forget you are NOT native Bhutanese! Your are still, still, still a foreigners!!!!!!!!!
Remember, my friends Nhalong, you need to change your attitude, other wise your life wouldn’t be able to enjoy the beauty of 21st century. Other wise you will continue to live in jungle.
Be human my friend, do you know animals in jungle also like with other. But you being Human, talking senseless.

IF I WERE TO MAKE A PRAYER, I WOULD ONLY SAY THAT IN MY SON’S TIME MAY THE PEOPLE OF MY COUNTRY BE FAR MORE PROSPEROUS AND HAPPY THAN WHAT THEY ARE TODAY .I ALSO EXHORT YOU ALL TO PRAY LIKE WISE THAT DURING MY SON’S TIME THIS WISH OF MINE IS FULFILLED JDWK3
Congratulations!!! Yogeshji for being nominated as the Party’s General Secretary. Keep up the good works. I aspire that you will not only work to promote the Lhomphas friends but do hope you will embrace and represent all but not limited to the marginalized people of Bhutan.
Thanks
We all know there are few Sharshopas who are the spies of Wangchuck. But, it does not mean we all Sharshop are crazy and stupid like them. In fact they are the cancer of our own Sharshop society here in Bhutan.
We care more on freedom. We Sharshop love to see our country being more diverse and exposed. Actually, I am fed-up with this bullshit of Wangchuck’s Clothes, their language, their values, and their policies.
Once again I want to assure you guys, that not all Sharshop are bad, only those corrupted are.
Peace!
its good that pdp is trying to garner votes from lhotshampas. But the party should know that people would vote for him (the PDP) only if the present OL changes his stand regarding people in the camps. We want to hear from him that HE SUPPORTS REPATRIATION of people who neither opt for TCR not would stay in nepal even if granted rights. Do you think PDP is ready, Mr. Yogesh?
the party’s points or ideology or leaflets might have been printed. no problem, we can learn from OL’s blogs too.
Yogesh, i want one thing to happen if i could vote for your party. Allow those few thousand Bhutanese from Jhapa camps and solve this irritation once and for all and open a healthy channel with those resettled Bhutanese. This could help our country economically and socially. Let those resettled Bhutanese comes to visit their relatives and come to bhutan in large number as tourists and also send money in large amount to their relatives in Bhutan.
Do you do that? If not quit PDP and join a party that allows above to happen or make an initiative to form a new one. I am sure such party could get very large chunk of votes to make difference in the parliament.
Looking forward to hear from you Yogesh.
Good Luck
