Resettled Bhutanese  in Lexington City of Kentucky have elected Buddha Adhikari as chairman of Bhutanese Community in Lexinton.

Meanwhile, Sekhnath Upreti is elected to the post of vice-chairman.
Adhikari informed BNS that the community was formed to work for preserving their cultural values. “We will organise different cultural and social events and work for the greater interest of the exiled Bhutanese resettled in Lexington,” Adhikari said.
Newly elected vice-chairman, Sekhnath Upreti informed that they also organised an event to mark Nepali New Year 2069. “About 150 people participated in the program,” he said.
As a part of third country resettlement from different camps in Jhapa and Morang districts in Nepal, about 55 Bhutanese families have made Lexington their new home.
Reported by Tulsi Upreti from Lexington for BNS.

Good Luck with it. Please don’t promise them the world and give back nothing.
Here in the UK the BWA is busy converting the newly arrived Bhutanese into Jai Mushi. The innocent people are lured into believing that they are looked after and supported by the British government and BWA if they convert themselves into Jai Mushi. It is sad, but rapidly happening in the UK. I have known people to be ambitious and selfish but the activities going on here have surpassed my imagination. Durga Giri and BWA are doing a wonderful job! Sosaks!
you dont need to preserve nepali culture. there is plenty of that in nepal. fooking bahun janaiwallas again playing poitics to preserve their customs. cmom u all matawallis (rais, limbus, gurungs, tamangs, sarchops….) get rid of these vermins & send them back to nepal. afterall they always belonged there & were never bhutanese refugees. we dont need them here in USA coz the welfare agencies here do their best without these vermin interfering so that they can swindle welfare money to preserve bahun culture.
bhutanese cuture is ema dachi, faxa-langsa-yaksa & lama guru. which these idiots in the picture practice this…now u tell. the year 2069 is for ur information is not the bhutanese year…it is bloody nepalese year.
Hi editors
why cant you post what i have commented? the bhutanese community in the uk is being destroyed and slowly led towards a wrong path. if you guys who handle this site even have a slight concern about the wider bhutanese community around the world- ring them up and ask and tell the world. some of the ex prolitical leaders are dangerously playing with the sentiments of the people and misguiding them!
Dorji tamu , are you kidding me? I know fake people like you are always creating confusion over our people to weaken their unity.
Here is my concern – Wanghucks have had intrduced Bhutan’s new year,
not by the people, as Indians have had introduced BS. We Kirats have had own way of celebration of new year that is Yele Sambat (on the day of Nepali maghe sakranti) was introduced after Yalamber. And many more are introduced with same ideology. So, to be clear not any new year are our invention.
National new year should be introduced by people vote, not by regims or kings. I respect all new years and its celebration, but I do not categorize any of them to a single nation.
Next, time do not use the dirty racial word plz if you feel uncomfortable, just be professional. And if you don’t know to comment professionally, plz do not comment. It is create confusion.
Never mind my language!
Thanks
Good luck!
Dear all I am happy to see the comments on this news I just want to request those who commented above . Any one can comment if you guys want, you do not have to write in good language but could you please comment without using bad words?
Dorji tamu, my friend- you still have such a narrow and conservative mind. Today, in 2012 you are still talking about race and cast. You better enjoy the system of Bhutan- where you have no ideas what diversity actually means. Enjoy a single dynesty dominated culture, tradition, values, religion, language, and values.
You do not worth the beauty of diversity. Man, at least be Human in 21st century.
No offense, just some suggestion!
Cheer!
Dear dorji Tamu
Get this straight in your empty head ‘ racism has no place in the 21st century’ and whatever information you have given to other people of Mongolian origin – thinking that they are all stupid like you – are but all false information. It doesn’t matter what year you live in, it matters if you make the best use of it and unite people rather than divide them. People like you have no place in the community too. You talk like our netas whohave always been successful in dividing people. I am sure your name comes from a nepali word- if it is not fake. people like you are here in UK too , who give false promises and run away with whatever they get in their pocket!
